Less is More

Graham Hill talking about why less is more

A friend shared this great TED Talk from Graham Hill, founder of TreeHugger, about how having less stuff leads to more happiness.

As a family of five that feels crammed in our own 1,600 sqft home, the idea of living in a 420 sqft apartment is mind boggling, but would certainly be greener.  Take the next six minutes and listen to Graham Hill to learn how to reduce your footprint, save some money and be happier.

For more on the apartment design he mentions, check out LifeEdited.com.

How many boxes do you have that you’ve moved from place to place?  Could you live in a smaller space?

Maybe, just maybe <=> so let’s make room for the good stuff.

Next time you are thinking about buying something, really contemplate Do I Need This?

Happy Greening!

  1. Great read! We are in the midst of REALLY downsizing right now, so this is inspiring. We’re going from a 3500 sqft house to a 40ft camper while we build!

  2. My family will be downsizing this summer from a 4 bedroom home to a 2 bedroom school apartment. I am actually looking forward to it and I continually ask myself, “do I really need that?”
