  1. This year I will be making my own homemade cleaners and using more essential oils.

  2. Instead of wrapping paper, I am going to knit a cover for smaller items.

    I’d like to use less electricity and water. Also, I want to get healthier myself by going to spin classes.

  6. I am planning to garden a lot more this year and I want to set rain barrels on my house as well.

    I plan on using less water in my showers.

    I am going to use less water in my garden by changing how I place the hoses.

    I am hoping that our family recycles everything we possibly can. We now have three recycling bins, one for bottles and cans, one for newspapers, and one for cardboard. We no longer buy water or anything else in plastic bottle because we each have bottles that we can take our water or whatever beverage we want with us. We also make sure we never go shopping without our own bag so that we do us any plastic bags from the grocery or department stores.

  10. I plan to set up a humanure composting toilet.

    We are already doing laundry detergent, sheets, hair and beauty products, clothing, household items.

    I’d like to switch some of our toxic kitchen cleaning supplies to greener options!

  13. I’ve been slowly transitioning to LED bulbs in my house… those dang things sure are expensive, but it’s insane how much light they put out compared to how little electricity they use! Plus they last like 10 years or more. Can’t beat that.
